My First Instameet

BEWARE: LOTS OF PICTURES
(like tons)

Many might be looking at the title of this post and think "what is an instameet?" I have already gotten that question quite a few times.

So, I shall explain.
Do you know what Instagram is?
Well, Instagram starts with "insta" and ends in "gram" (or "stagram"), if I need to point out the obvious. But really, many have gone overboard with (enter any word here)-gram. "Foodstagram", "onedirectionstagram", "edstagram", "swagstagram" . . . you name it, there is probably someone who's used it.

Next - photographers on Instagram.
People who take good quality pictures and likes photography and posts their photography on Instagram.
AKA an "Instagram Photographer".

Therefore, an "Instameet" is when a bunch of INSTAgram photographers MEET up to have photoshoots.

At least that's what it means on the photography side of Instagram.

I've been wanting to go to one ALL summer, but the only ones I've been able to be invited to (by a public open invitation) are out of state. Like the last one was on the other side of the US. I was really bummed.

But as soon as I start school, I see an invitation on someone's Instagram that I really look up to in terms of photography. But Instagram did not have all the information on it. You had to leave your kik for the instameet hosts to kik you. ("Kik" is an app that is used for texting people without giving your number away. You have a username and that is what you can give out.)

I get the information from one of the hosts over Kik. The meet is about an hour away from where I live, but my parents agreed to take me. I was ecstatic.

So that weekend my mom drives me to meet these girls. We had lots of fun and I was so happy to meet these amazing and gorgeous girls. The shoot was awesome and the lighting (nearer to the end of the meet) was spectacular. We all walked away with some great photos.

These are some of mine. ("Some" because I won't bombard you with the 600+ I actually took).   ;)

I only posted my favorite 44 here. (Yes, 44, I actually have more favorites but I tried to get it to as little as possible so this wasn't some really long post of tons of pictures you probably don't want to see. 44 was the smallest number I could get to.)

I titled this picture "Angels come in all forms"
