This was the picture:
Personally, I'm a bit jealous of her hair. I also love the lighting, shadows, and pose. Plus her shirt is cute. On top of all that, the glitter positioning is flawless. Not too much, not too little.
I don't know who originally took it, but I've seen it on Instagram, WeHeartIt, and Tumblr.
Anyway, a week or so ago, I was looking for it on Google and found a couple others like it that I liked.
I made a collage.
Aaaaaand I decided that I really wanted to have a photoshoot inspired by these pictures.
They used some pretty massive pieces of glitter if you really look at them. So I wanted to buy some confetti to get the same effect that these girls did.
But I couldn't.
And I didn't want to spend the money.
Story of my life, right?
But I did have some craft glitter and micro glitter from a while ago.
So, that came out of my closet.
In the bathroom, I slapped myself (lightly) ;) with water and sprinkled glitter on where the water was.
Next I leaned forward and fanned the glitter to get excess off. (but all it really did was get glitter everywhere.)
Then I set up camp in the empty room in my house.
After I had taken a couple pictures with the silver craft glitter,
I decided that it wasn't sparkly enough.
Yep.
More glitter.
A few more slaps of water and a whole lot of purple micro glitter later,
I was back in front of the camera.
These are some of my favorites in Black and White:
Next are some of my favorite color pictures from the shoot:
(I thought that the glitter looked quite pretty as bokeh, so I had to take a picture)
And the photoshoot is not complete without a blooper/crazy picture.
;)
